Ching-Lin Ray Chen

Ching-Lin Chen, from Taiwan. Now, he is studying in Antwerp Fashion Department. Before studying in Antwerp, He graduated from Shih-Chien University, Taiwan in 2014.

During 2015-2018,  cooperating with different Taiwanese artistic groups, meanwhile, he worked as a women's clothing/knitting designer in Taiwanese luxury brand Shiatzy Chen for 3 years.

Ching-Lin focuses on Avant-guard and wearability and his menswear expresses himself with his craftsmanship and experimentation in silhouette, often rendered in rich contrasting colors of wool fabric, knitting, jacquards and floral elements.

Ching-Lin's design concepts have always had a romantic and neutral style, so these works not only reflect the ideas but also show the maturity of my design experience.  He tried to return clothing to the essence of design, expressing the concept of "gender" through clothing silhouettes and details, and at the same time, make clothing design connect with social norms and current affairs issues. In addition, it is also hoped that the functionality of clothing, in addition to the main wearability, can be used in different art forms in life.
